Manorhouse, a Suffolk longhouse originally a farmhouse dates back to late 15th century, set in large gardens in the picturesque village of Beyton, there is a 3 mile Beyton Walk. It’s an elegant, but down to earth home, half- timbered with colourwashed rooms.
We are 4 miles east of Bury St Edmunds, a lovely historic market town, with its Cathedral, Abbey ruins, Georgian theatre and award winning gardens. We offer 4 spacious en-suite individually designed bedrooms. 2 rooms are in the main house and 2 ground floor rooms in the barn conversion to the rear.
All rooms are en-suite with either bath or shower, have tea and coffee making , flat screen television with freeview, alarm clock, hairdryer, bathrobes, local maps, guides and lots of tourist info.
Washing , drying and ironing facilities are available to guests and use of a Fridge / Freezer.
We are centrally situated for Cambridge, Ely, Newmarket , Constable country, Lavenham , Ickworth House and numerous lovely Suffolk villages and churches.
Beyton is served by regular bus service to Bury St Edmunds and
Stowmarket.
Trains from the next village of Thurston to Cambridge. Intercity
trains from Stowmarket to Liverpool Street
Norwich and Suffolk coast are reached within a hour. The White Horse in the
village serves dinner every night just across the Green,
